Just some pictures I have had on my camera for a while. Lee probably won't appreciate me posting the first two but I think they are funny.
Serious face....

This was after one of Lee's games and it was such a nice night and a beautiful view of downtown Ft. Worth.

Movie Monday
I'm going to start a new 'tradition' for Mondays. I'm going to give a good, maybe somewhat obvious, quote from a movie and hope that the movie (if you can guess it) brings back good or, at least, fun memories.
Here is the first quote for my Movie Monday:
"In a good shoe, I wear a size six, but a seven feels so good, I buy a size eight."
"Pink is my signature color."
Ok, I gave two quotes and I think I could have given 15 more. I love this movie and know most every line:)

Banana Pancakes from Barefoot Contessa
I think it was during my Girls Weekend that someone recommended these pancakes. I printed out the recipe and made them this morning. They are delicious! I wanted to share for those who like Banana Pancakes! Here you go:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
1/2 cup sour cream
3/4 cup plus1 tablespoon milk
2 extra-large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
Unsalted butter
2 ripe bananas, diced, plus extra for serving
Pure maple syrup
In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together the sour cream, milk, eggs, vanilla, and lemon zest. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ones, mixing only until combined. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-low heat until it bubbles. Ladle the pancake batter into the pan. Distribute a rounded tablespoon of bananas on each pancake. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, until bubbles appear on top and the underside is nicely browned. Flip the pancakes and then cook for another minute, until browned. Wipe out the pan with a paper towel, add more butter to the pan, and continue cooking pancakes until all the batter is used. Serve with sliced bananas, butter, and maple syrup.

Flashback Friday
This isn't flashing back very far but it is the only thing I have on my computer for now. This is my birthday in 2006 with Amy, Stephanie and Ronna. We had dinner at Maggiano's and then they brought out a cake that they bought for me with a picture of Mike Modano on it!! Great friends! Amy and Ronna were both pregnant with Campbell and Blaine at the time and now the boys are over 3 years old! Time flies!
Cuts For A Cause
I wanted to let everyone know about a good benefit happening on Sunday, August 30th. It is Cuts for a Cause at Salon Opus in Addison. All donations go to the Yellow Ribbon Fund (www.yellowribbonfund.com). My stylist is putting this on so if you can make a donation or go get a $15 haircut, that would be awesome! Please see details below.

Change
Do you ever feel like you need a change? In any aspect of life, maybe physical, maybe with your job or maybe something material (like a new car). Anyway, I didn't need a new car but I needed a 'change'. I used to think that going to get my hair colored/cut meant that I was going to have a new appearance. Once I started working (got a real job) I realized that I probably didn't need to always change my hairstyle and have a new appearance. So for the last couple of years I've had the same haircolor and basically the same cut but I've been thinking that I needed to do something different:) Don't hold your breath for something drastic.......I just got bangs! But they are different and change my appearance just enough that I feel I have that little 'change' I was looking for. As well as bangs I decided to get fake nails. I haven't had fake nails in years but I was wanting a change from my normal short nails (although I will go back to those). I like my fake nails, they are just long enough and something different that I was looking for. I'm rambling but thought I would blog about my 'changes'. So here is to Bangs and Fake Nails.....and all of the other 'changes' that we are looking for.

Home Sweet Home
Lee is home!! He got home Friday evening and it has been wonderful ever since! We had a great weekend together and he will pick up today where he left off with the Cats. He should pitch for them on Thursday.
We went to see Transformers last night and it was ok, I didn't like it as much as the first one.
Here is my sign I made for Lee (sometimes referred to as Wee). I got a good laugh out of him when he saw it so it was worth it.

Girls Weekend
These are some pictures of our Girl's Weekend at the Gaylord! We had such a good time....pool, vegging and then alot of dancing to a great 80's band on Saturday night!
I didn't get many pool pictures but here is one of Amy and Ronna looking fabulous poolside.
This is what took place after the pool/before dinner and dancing:) We needed a rest.
